While companies may not want to spend the resources, time, or effort on end user change management, we as Information Governance Professionals need to work more closely with IT partners to better design a data control strategy that provides structure while being flexible, articulate the why/what/how/when of our Microsoft 365 infrastructure, and create adoption materials that speak to the unique concerns of our end users. We can't control the flow of changes Microsoft makes to the 365 platform, but with smart change management strategy we can better prepare our real clients (end users) to utilize the tools available to them.
